It is a common misconception that asbestos has been removed from brake pads
and shoes... it hasn't. It is a common component in many after-market brake
products.
In other words... WHERE A MASK WHEN DOING YOUR BRAKES!
Cheers,
Jeff

Brake pad technology evolves just like tire technology does. And a lot of
things drive changes, like the removal of asbestos from brake pads or new &
better compounds. The last thing I would be worried about is the color of
the pads.
The best pads available today are the modern ceramic pads. They wear well,
brake well, dust little and are not hard on your rotors like the earlier
ceramic pads were. And the best part is they are probably available from
your local "big box" parts store!
Thanks,

Call me crazy, but I like to think that engineers might have learned
SOMETHING about friction and materials since those pads were developed for
the Bay window bus!
I would go with the PBR...
