Several reasons, the main one being more comfortable seats! Other reasons are space, heat, bigger bed, more rugged.

5 years ago, I didn't even know what a vanagon was, or the fact that some had been converted to campers. My life has obviously been changed for the better since then. All thanks to an old brown van that shouts "freedom"!
