Lupo....Pooopo! Mini....Schminni!

The ultimate front engine/rear engine conversion, IMHO, is the Citroen 2CV Sahara. 2 cylinders up front....two cylinders in the back! A total of 48 neck snapping horsepower!! (More hp than my 56 Beetle) 694 were built by Citroen from 1958 to 1966 which makes John Cooper a copy-cat!! ;-) It even came with an optional snowplow! http://www.supercars.net/garages/CitroenSM/4v2.html

BTW, VW Motorsport built a twin engine Mark II Golf in the late 80s to race Pike's Peak.
