I'd say most folks here love all buses, but Vanagons 1) have HEAT, 2) don't change lanes on their own on windy days or when an 18 wheeler blows by, and 3) they have more room and are more comfortable to drive. As you get older, these things become more important to you. When I was younger, I never thought I'd ever want a vehicle with an automatic trans-now I prefer them. I'm sure there are more reasons, but these are 3 that jumped into my mind.     Jeff
