Hi Volks,

Heat is how the pros do it. The guys who really know their stuff use a
propane torch on factory or dealer installed decals, but that's
something you want to learn on a beater, not your baby.

A heat gun or hair dryer will definitely help  loosen the adhesive, then
you can get under the decal with a guitar pick. Another tool that works
well is a dollar store teflon (ish) spatulal; or else stop by your local
sign industry supply store and get the real deal:
