slightly O/T but I think these days with all bosch plus made in india they quality is really lacking over on the samba lost of good reports with going to the NGK BP6ET 3 prong made in japan http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=327351 http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=335387

All I can say was got some from bosch W7CC busdepot jan 08 and around nov-dec 08 I had this really odd running condition while cold it would just die randomly when I was at idling at stop lights every check out temp sensors, dist cap, wiring etc so I saw the most on the ngk put em in & this issue went away the made in india plugs were a bit pitted but nice & brown & on road trip it ran ok and I'd may put 8K on em, no smoking gun just saying & other anecdotal evidence from random post seem to say bosch plugs aint what they used to be :(
