There was a lot of repainting going on then. I have two tanks--rusty original and a nicer one repainted after Chris (jordanVW) sold it to me. No one has ever looked at them other than to spot the connections to fill them. One has the tag, the other does not, but you can't tell unless you lie down and crawl under the van. Every propane guy does that, right? As mentioned, Westy tanks are horizontally mounted tanks meeting ASME certification. Different from DOT BBQ tanks in terms of OPD and recertification. Richard |
