And OTOH those of us who have enjoyed anchoring for the night in a silent cove have found that a pair of muffled oarlocks and a raw potato are the working parts to a good solution to the "stinkpotter" who comes in just at dusk and immediately fires up the generator. You have to wait a bit, of course, until it's nice and dark -- and if said stinkpotter is polite and has shut off the generator by then -- no harm, no foul.
