Subject: Re: solar panels (and camper noise)

Well now, I know a bit about obnoxious neighbor's generator noise. Encouragingly (is that a real word?) many of those Behemoth Motor Homes we encounter, during our extended sojourn south each Dark Season, have now switched over to using solar panels. The Really big ones have 3 or 4, about 3'x4', roof-mounted on tilting rack set-ups. Seems to work for most of em...

But this year we had some (as distant as we could manage) neighbors (a buncha Kooks with Airstreams) who had solar panels. But they had them powering LED night display lights...blinking neon looking weird stuff...and get this....They were 'Drum Enthusiasts'. Congos and Bongos, a few nights per week....Can you imagine someone bringing drums out to the "quiet" desert and thinking they would not bother everyone within a couple of miles (Congo drums beating sounds carry a loooong way)? Try getting to sleep when a few drummers are nearby...

It expands the meaning of 'selfish' when you encounter humans that behave like that, eh? The bottom line of silly behavior fell yet again...
