There's a pretty well known link for this.  Try Googling "A Vanagon for all seasons."  This fellow has an underbody storage box on the passenger side but not much detail on its construction, as I recall.   Stephen

I am currently working on a project with another vanagon buddy, to build a metal storage box that will bolt under the van along the sliding door area.

We are looking at a metal box that would be about as deep as the lowest part of the van in this area to not high center on the box. We are considering cutting a hole or a couple holes in the floor area to access the storage box.

Any experiences, ideas, thoughts?

Thanks,

Doug
