>So there I am, quietly sitting in my Westy's open side door, somewhere >high on the Blue Ridge Parkway, absorbing the magnificent view of the >rising sun dispersing off the low-lying fog in the green valleys >below.

Reminds me of a trip I had taken to the island of Maui.

I had saved for three solid years to be able to afford it. Everything was as beautiful as expected and more!

After settling in, having a beautiful dinner. Both lobster tail and fillet Mignon !!!

I trailed off to sleep in the most wonderful, King sized bed I had ever slept in.

I awoke very early, to the wonderful serenade of a multitude of the most beautiful, morning birds

Still in my PJ's I walked way out of the hotel, into the middle of the largest greenest, most beautiful lawn I had ever seen. Keep in mind I live in the desert.

I set cross legged. Yes, even at my advanced age I can still get into a full lotus position. (barley & not for very long :o)

I sat there meditating. deeper and deeper into a Serene trance. Fully at peace with my world !!!

I might as well have been talking face to face with God, the joy was so great!!!

But, slowly, slowly, I began to feel a little disturbed... a little annoyed. I tried to get in touch with myself to try to figure out what was disrupting my Karmic bliss ???

While still trying to stay in this space, I noticed that the irritation was actually a grounds keeper mowing the lawn !! The Very lawn where I specifically got up at this un-godly hour, to visit Nirvana !!! ;o)

How rude! Didn't that lowly chump know of the time & preparation and Sacrifice I had gone to, (not to mention the money? The money )!!! to Realize this Time, This Space !!! ??? !!!! ???

And Insult to Injury, he kept coming closer and closer Circling like some kind of a predatory beast; Each time closer to the center where I sat. Eyeing, eyeing his Prey ....

Closer, closer, circling, circling The terrible, terrible loud combustion engine

Closer closer; buzzing buzzing buzzing turning into a pulsating rythym.... Sweeping Me Up on a Carpet of Buzzing ... buzzing.

Lifting me up. Higher higher higher ......

Ahhhhh !!! my god !!! What a wonderful sound .... What a wonderful Feeling !!!!

I had Traveled Half way around the world, well, half way to Vietnam anyway, To the middle of the Pacific !

To Learn that I wasn't Really There At All !!!

That I'm Never Really Ever There ...

But, Always ,,, Always ......

Here ...and Now...

I will be forever grateful to that man ...

and his Lawn Mower ...........
