your talking about the generic exchange tanks you buy at your local gas station or home depot for your gas grill. were talking about the westy propane tanks, which are essentially part of the vehicle. ive never had anyone refuse to refill them because they were repainted..after 20+ years, most all westfalia LP tanks hanve been repainted..
