This might be the shop I was thinking of that charges like $100 to fix it. If it's just the odometer issue you need fixing, there's a tutorial on the web for fixing the VDO odometer issues with German cars. I think if you googled "Audi odometer repair" you would find that site. IIRC, the problem is a sprocket that comes loose on a shaft and I think I was able to fix my old asudi odometer using that info and some red loctite or equivilant. Took me a ocuple of hours, but then I didn't have the $100 to send the speeedo shop.
