From my POV, if one was doing a bunch of work, replacing the lower arms to the later cast type allows:

No stupid bolts to snap off when removing old style radius rod

Possibility (need other parts as well) to upgrade to better stock brakes.

Less money in future to upgrade to "Big Brakes"

Possibly better parts availability down the road?
