Once I had to inject a very thin layer of clear calk all around the
windshield and that definitely fixed all the possible leaks. I just cut the
calk tube at the very end to get a very small hole that did not push much
out. Taking that seal out later may have been harder of course.

Even though you have a new windshield and seal, the
windshield seal may still leak in around the upper
windshield corners. Believe me, I know from experience,
had the problem. I injected sealant in and around the
upper corner and it fixed my problem.
