FWIW, just received my updated B of A credit card terms. No buyer protection for anything purchased outside your home state or 100 mile radius of your mailing address. Note: This is Bank of America's new policy. If other banks haven't already done this, they probably will follow suit. I see this as a substantial change that will really cause problems for innocent buyers that will now be somewhat at the mercy of dishonest sellers. I say "somewhat" because I guess you don't have to buy anything with a credit card over 100 miles from your home, but for those of us that do, it represents the loss of a safety net for the buyer.
