the later parking brake handle doesn't use a rubber boot. it uses a clip on plastic cover. I have some of those if you'd like to buy or trade for one. or........the best thing .........that I like anyway, is you use the rubber boot from the earlier style parking brake handle...... but you cut a small hole in the top of it ........about 1/8 inch wide and 3/8 inch long .........for the top of the pawl to stick through just a bit. Without that hole, the boot tends to keep the handle from returning to full off.
