On guy I know in Hawaii just has the renters put your van on their insurance policy. They don't have to own it to insure it for a while, just add it to their current policy. One nice thing about renting them in Hawaii is they can't get too far away if there's a problem with the van.

Hi to all, I was wondering what it would take to rent out some of my Westfalia campers. What it would involve and would it be worth the trouble. I mostly think of the insurance side of it, but there could be much more than that, of course. Here I attempt to pick the brains of those who have either professional of some other business experience how to set up such a service. I can imagine to just lend it to the renters as a friend and get paid a little less that way but have no great legal or other liabilities. I only have four of them. Zoltan |
