This certainly fits with the rules of the list. But you know, I think this is one where the moderators might reconsider, in the interests of letting people on the list help each other. When people need computer help, they tend to need it pretty urgently. Usually it can't wait till Friday, unless maybe it's already Thursday night. If respondents are diligent about NOT replying to the list, so it doesn't turn into a listwide debate about macs vs PCs, or gmail vs. some other mail, I for one am very happy for people to continue making such request any time of the week. I've found that people on this list were pretty well able to solve every computer problem I've posted about, whether they did it on Fridays or other days of the week. And I REALLY value being able to get that advice from people here, even though this isn't a computer list. What do others think about this as a modest modification of the list rules? That urgent requests for assistance in other areas be permitted any time, as long all replies are off-line?
