Good intentions, Unca Joel, but too many holes in this idea.  Think about
all the vehicles that will end up in landfills.  Think how public
transportation would be in the toilet.  How about the surge on dependence of
foreign oil that would result in doubling the anount of cars on the road.
You think traffic is bad now.
