If I only get one thing, I know what it is. Unfortunately it might have implications for the rest. I would have whatever the statutory minimum toilet enclosure (glorified roller shades, maybe?) is necessary so you could declare the thing as a second residence. In my understanding, that's the only thing that's missing.

In Britain they used to have a minimum camper version of the Loaf that purely by chance cost exactly the same amount extra as the tax break you got for a caravan vs a regular vehicle. We had friends visit us with one when I was seventeen or so, and I don't recall the details but it was definitely a camper and we thought it was pretty neat. Can't remember if the roof went up -- kinda think not. Theirs was red and white, I think. It definitely inclined me toward the Vanagon Way later on.
