RE: Maps vs GPS I'm in total agreement. The GPS is really great especially in a strange city (strange to me that is) and really just a toy most of the time. My Benchmark atlases get a real workout and are the primary navigation aide. But there are other features of the GPS I have that I like like the trip odometer screen with speed, estimated arrival time, etc. And I can download the track data and match to the pictures I take through the windshield along the way. It's just that I found it frustrating to lose a lot of the data I might well want to see. |
