When I heard they were NLA, I bought a few extra.

They are Completely Junk after 20 years, as we all know.

but,,,, that said, It shouldn't be too hard to weld a fine threaded nut to the mounting base

We really don't need that fancy complicated, convoluted plastic nut after all !! :o)

Of course; any Owners out there with a machine shop? & Injection machines? ;o) And, where are the original molds?
