Have S&T, 2006, 2007 and 2009 versions. Also have Garmin and Delorme software for my laptop. I find S&T the BEST interface to work with on a laptop. I use if for on road navigation and planning. Laptop sits on the dash tray I made, see here > _http://picasaweb.google.ca/FCondelli/DashTablet#_ (http://picasaweb.google.ca/FCondelli/DashTablet) Sorry no photo with the laptop. Anyways, I have been using this set-up for several years and for me it works perfectly. I am able to manipulate the laptop while driving as it is pretty well in front of me so I can keep an eye on the road. The main reason I like using the laptop GPS over handheld's is I get a BIGGER picture of the area around me if I want. This allows me to decide to change plans due to some features I see nearby that I had not planned on when setting out on the trip. One of the disadvantages is S&T has a bad habit of shutting down when the system gets overloaded and does not auto save info. So, when you get the program back up and running you will have to re-enter info that was lost due to the shut down. PITA and why MS did not include an auto save feature is beyond me !
