good question. I spot welded the febi replacements on the passenger side, but not the ones that are squeaking now.

However, I am 90% sure the bushings are not turning. I will confirm this when I replace them. When I used the febis to replace the less-than-1-year-old meyle's that were squeaking, those had not been spot welded but were not turning.

Unless I misunderstand something, the only point of the spot weld is to prevent the bushings from turning in the arms, right?

(I do plan on spot welding the replacements this time, however, as I understand that some people have had issues with the bushings turning.)
