Yank it and forget it.

If you really miss it you can get it from CIP1.com at $45 per kit. It takes 1 kit per Vanagon window which equalls, ummm, a lot. Alternatively you can buy "grooveless" window seals for about $90 each, which might be a wiser investment anyway.
