I could see recycling the stainless steel adjuster screw and
making a kevlar-impregnated epoxy wad in the brackets and then
either drilling/tapping the holes for the adjuster. I guess you
could mold the wad around the threads too, but I'd use some PVA on
the threads so the epoxy wouldn't stick to the threads and then you'd
have one adjustment!!
Kinda low on the priority list right now, but someone will come up
with something at least as shade tree as this idea!!
