what's that swirly circular opening to the left of the pulley? Between the exhaust port and the pulley? About maybe 4'' in diameter? The only engine I've worked on was the 1600 DP from my 71 aircooled baywindow. I don't recognize that opening . . . water pump maybe?

(The Bentley's is in the van.)
