I use Mobil 1 full synthetic 15/50 year-round in all my vehicles here in sunny northeast Florida, based on the recommendation of some of the more respected voices on the list.

And I don't own a car with less than 165,000 miles on it ('97 Toyota Avalon 165,000; '95 Mercedes E320 Wagon 275, 000; and '89 vanagon 310,000 but can only confirm the 75,000 I've put on it since buying the van).

So what weight Mobil 1 are people running?

15/50 0-40 10-30 High Mileage 10w-40 High Mileage

What is best for hot summer temperatures?

What is best for long driving during the hot temperatures?

So far I am hearing 15/50 from the forum. Am I getting this wrong? The 10W-40 seems also like a strong number 1 contender as being the 1st weight choice.

What is the difference really between 15/50 and 10/40?

Robert NY
