Hello Folks,


I was checking through the archives where there is plenty of discussions
about putting Audi dual piston calipers on. However, I could not find any
reference to actual spacing in the Vanagon. I don't have one handy to
measure so thought to ask you guys. In an effort to put the rumors to rest
that the Audi S6 calipers will work on Vanagons w/o machinework, I acquired
a set as part of an experiment. Without taking measurements, I can already
see that the mounting holes are much smaller. It remains to be determined if
the caliper spacing is even close. These look to be about just a hair under
3 3/4". I don't have a metric ruler or caliper handy so that is an estimate.
