The PN's mat be different but they interchange fine.

The Digifant AFM has a temp sensor in the air stream, so it technically does measure air mass with the combination of the flapper and the temp sensor.

not so

Air Flow Meter

86-92 Vanagon B3130-13055 (Bosch) VW 025 906 301C Bosch 0 280 202 079

89-92 Golf B3130-24461 (Bosch) VW 037 906 301 Bosch 0 280 202 106

just to add some clarification to the orginal post the Digifant II system does not use a MAF (mass air flow sensor). it uses an AFM (air flow meter). a MAF uses the hot wire not a flapper door like a AFM.

i know that some of the hotrod vw guys like to use a BMW AFM made by bosch. it bolts right up but the resistance values are different which means in basic terms different amounts of fuel are pumped in the engine.

I know the airboxes are different. It looks like the MAF and the airbox can be seperated. Thanx... > > -Danno- > > > > illic ain't haud talis res ut a solvo prandium > > > > > > > > > > > >
