A genuine Westfalia will always be worth more than any aftermarket copy in comparable condition.

I say make the top out of carbon fiber and kevlar composite and the interior cabinets out of a lightweight aluminium-composite sandwich as the 'ultimate' camper. I've no idea what that would cost, but I can always dream.
