Not hard.

Remove wheel, caliper (Temporarily suspend it. Don't disconnect), rotor, and the 3 screws are right there. Because the caliper bolts are on pretty tight, and I worry too much, I cracked mine loose while wheel still on. (i.e. vehicle on ground, brake on etc.) They're accessible with wheel turned.

I found when re installing a splash guard, I heard a rubbing sound. Turned out that the guard wasn't centered, so (I presume) the rotor rubbed on it a *little*. There is a *little* play possible.

Use the correct sized Phillips screw driver.

Here's what I'm curious about: why do they have those little flaps?

Jack you may find that they're salvagable. Personally I wouldn't drive without them. But that's just me. <grin>
