Michael, Prol'ly not to bad. The thing about Vanagon CV" is if you keep the boots in good shape and never let them crack, and clean - and that's the operative word - clean - the CV'bearings, then repack them every 25,000 miles, unless something extraordinary happens the things will last dang near forever. Well past 200,000 miles anyway. And changing out a CV once the axle is out is a very easy task.
