One more reason to not own a Porsche. $141 for a $30 part.

My bro has a 928, he says parts cost 4-5 times what a normal car part costs.

The timing belt in my vanagon (1.8 liter inline four VW ) looks more like a garter belt...It is quite whispy...tiny even...When I first got in there, doing some stuff to the alternator belt, I thought the timing belt was a power steering or a fan of some sort.. Very unlike the huge long fat serpentine one on my 4-cam V8 water cooled Porsche..the one .that broke and cost me 31 bent valves @ $141 per valve... Don Hanson
