I guess you couldn't see my tongue in my cheek when I wrote that :) On several thousand miles of traveling with another Vanagon Westy automatic, an '87 vs. my '90, I've seen the two vehicles get nearly identical millage (number of gallons into tank when filling up) under just about every driving condition and I know that the '87 is kept in top tune, everything perfect. My .'90 burns just a little more gas overall, like a half or less MPG but I'm running several hundred pounds heavier and also sporting a Bagawest carrier on top. But I can hope for better milage, can't I? > > > > |
