Hi Loren

I just went thru the same thing a few months ago. Driving on the freeway at 65 mph for hours with the heater up all the way and there was barely enough heat to keep us warm on a 55+ °F day. The needle was way low and dropped near the bottom while descending a long hill. Put

in a new T-stat and problem solved. I ordered the 87°C which is OEM,

but many opt for the 80°C for the warmer climate of CA. My temp gauge

runs just above the LED with the new t-stat. When the old t-stat was working properly, the needle settled just below the LED. Now the engine is warmed up in about 2 miles and there's tons of heat in the cabin. But with the warmer weather to come I am curious as to how it will handle the AC or a long hill climb with a full load. Time will tell...
