Ken,
E-code headlights are great! It is unfortunate that the US
spec lights are stuck in the 1940s - if the USA could adopt the e-code
spec lights like Canada did then there would be one less headlight for all
the car manufacturers to produce. I guess that is one way to protect
your market.
80 / 100s work well in the e-code lights. I
get no one brighting me at all. Do not run plastic covers on the
lights or they will not be happy due to over heating. I run 55 /
100s in mine so in town and low speed where I use the high beams the most
they are normal and a little extra umph on the highway with the 100W high
beams and the extra wind to cool them off.
If you want to turn
the e-code back into crap, install an HID kit. Oh yes, much brighter
but on the low beam portion quite fuzzy and you will be back to having
people bright you again.
