The GoWesty kit is just a band-aid fix. At the prices they ask for their vans, they should be including the SS pipes, not the repair kit. Much depends on the condition of your pipes, especially the metal inserts. If the coolant has been changed regularly and there is little or no rust, the kit will buy you time. So will a SS screw or rivet through the plastic into the metal insert. I have the GW kit on one van and SS screws on the other. For complete peace of mind and longevity down the road, SS pipes are the way to go. Jerry in AZ

I searched the archives and there are those who are happy with the GoWesty plastic coolant line repair kit. However, I still like to hear the pro's and con's vs stainless pipes (Other than cost).

I was set on the Go Westy kit, but I noticed that the brass pieces do not actually replace the metal insert, which is what I first thought the kit was doing.

GoWesty claims this kit is on every van they sell. If I were spending $30K+ for a van or I had a syncro that I off-roaded, I personally would go with stainless pipes.
