Subject line pretty much says it. A few things- * Happens primarily at low speeds, like when pulling into a parking spot. * Happens when turning the wheel with one hand (downward pressure on the wheel). -Doesn't happen when driving normally (straight). I can push as hard as I want on the wheel at any point and it won't engage the horn. * I haven't yet removed the 24mm nut under the horn to clean and lubricate in order to rule this out as a cause of the scraping sound, but I have taken the horn off a couple of times and put it back in. So I guess the question I should be asking is . . . Where is the most likely location of the short? OR did I unwittingly replace the horn pad incorrectly and nudge one of the 2 wires? -- Drew, Las Vegas '90 GL "Blackbeard" |
