What pops it out of the end of the pipe is coolant pressure not some type of "toothpaste tube squeeze" effect. Think about it, is the clamp getting tighter and tighter like the toothpaste tube? Of course not. You can hit your pipe ends back in with a hammer and sometimes get six months or a year out of them before they pop off again but they could also pop off in the next 10 miles.
