I have used Peel and Seal as well, never encountered an odor and it did seem to cut down on some noise, even though I only did the front doors and slider. Then again after doing any extensive work I think you're inclined to think it worked. I also have the jigsaw puzzle exercise mat squares over the engine compartment which I think helps alot and doubles as a ground cover for emergency repairs. Of course I got that biggest decrease in cabin noise by fixing the exhaust and slowing down.
