Wide zip tie around the 2nd and oil ring. Work the top ring in. Cut off the zip tie after the oil ring is in.

Removing a cylinder head today (engine in vehicle), I had one thoroughly stuck cylinder which I had to pull with the head. I'm thinking I'll mess around for a while trying to re-install the cylinder in situ when I get back tonight.

Any good advice? Zip ties? Any success stories?

Or should I just drop the engine down and get on with it!

Angus
