"Why do you want flames burning in your van while you drive anyway?" I know instruction manuals are vastly overrated but the Dometic RM 182B manual has no mention of NOT running it on propane while driving, or warnings to not run it "while underway". It does go so far as to mention use of it while "underway" on page 6 after it discusses starting its use using propane. The manual is specific and careful to mention that the combustion chamber is "completely sealed" from it's immediate environment, with the only vents being fresh air intake, and exhaust, both located outside the van. Kind of like the engine. Major flame combustion inside the "combustion chamber" with intake and exhaust vents.

Page 6, Maintenance, b) Flame blows out. If trouble is encountered with the flame blowing out under specially windy conditions, set the gas to "MAX" and relight.

Too many people with years and thousands of miles of use of the camper van, Dometic running while driving as well.

Be VERY careful of the fire going on under the engine lid .... that one makes the wheels go around and requires the vehicle operator's full attention, not worrying about fridge fires ..... or cell phone use. ;-)
