Maybe I'm missing something here, like Mike I'm slowly learning about the function of my coolant system and as a result I'm not so sure the blow suck test is accurate -

Why do I say such a blasphemous thing?

Well I went cap in hand (no pun) to the Bug Shop last Friday with the intention of picking up a new cap as the one I had (brand new) failed the blow suck test...air would pass both ways - one way restricted the air a bit more than the other - I can't remember whether it was air toward or away from the cap but regardless air got through each way.

Anyway Ed checked the cap with a pressure tester and he pronounced it good to go as it held pressure.

So I'm a bit perplexed - as anyone knows...Ed is rightfully qualified.
