Bob, and anyone else planning on heading to Alaska. Feel free to pmail anytime for recommendations, suggestions, etc, on travel to and/or in Alaska. We are always glad to assist and if schedules match may even meet up somewhere along the road. Our driveway also has room for a van that needs a day or two to unwind, repack, shower up, etc.

The Inside Passage Ferry trip is is a great way to travel and allows you to see part of the State that is totally different from the rest. How much time one needs for the trip really depends on what you want to do or see along the way. There are long sections of road where you will not stop for more than lunch or to stretch your legs. Other areas have plenty to see or do, from hiking/biking trails, rafting, kayaking, climbing, wildlife viewing, flightseeing, historical sites, old mining towns, sky and scuba diving, fishing, hunting, take your pick. You tell us what you would like to see or do and we are more than happy to offer up suggestions.
