this is new to me, and way cool. i had no idea that someone was working on this, or that such a design studio existed within lego.

how close is the the one that i can buy from lego to the one at http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=333586? what are the "flaws"? i'm ready to lay down my money for a red lego vanagon right now, if it's close. i can live without an engine and gearbox.

thanks, thanks. what a fun project.

Hi,

Got so far that the Vanagon in Lego can be ordered directly from Lego: http://shop.lego.com/Product/Factory/Product.aspx?p=LFH002&mid=8a29187e-5ed2-4b6d-bff3-e288a319935f

But - there are still flaws in the model, and there is NO gearbox and engine on the underside!

I also updated the LXF file on zorck.dk - if anyone feels like using it and making it better - please do - but remember to reference the original file (Creative Commons open source license :-) )

Using Lego Digital Designer, http://ldd.lego.com

and this LXF file: http://www.zorck.dk/t3/t3.lxf

We at www.t3nettet.dk are working on creating a Lego brickset for this creature: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=333586

We need help - so if you like, please get the ldd and the lxf-file, and help creating a Vanagon Brickset.

If you email me your version of the lxf-file, I'll host them on my web-site.

Happy driving
