Loren, the pop rivets are counter sunk first of all and they make a pretty good seal just because of that. THEN, the hose covers the area where the pop rivets are and the hose clamp is forward of the area where the pop rivets are AND if your still a little paranoid about it you can put some RTV sealant over the pop rivets before putting on the hose. Never had a leak doing this repair, and I sure have done my share !

AND. btw WHERE were you at SDM. I came ALL the way out there JUST to see you (:-)

>>>>I've see this eference to putting in a couple of pop rivets but I'm having trouble seeing this. I'm visualizing pop rivets from the outside of the plastic through the metal inserts. But a pop rivet is going to have a hole all the way through the center that may or may not be sealed. So what am I missing? A type of rivet that I'm not familiar with or what? BTW, I'm not being critical, just not able to see the pop rivets in there without the possibility of leaks.<<<<<<<
