I disagree.  I had my '87 Dometic running for me from when
I bought it in '01 until a year ago when I replaced it with
a Vitrifrigo.

My standard operating procedure was to light the fridge on
propane before I left home and leave it running until I
got back--one or two weeks later.  Propane the whole time.

The only time the fridge went out on the highway was a
situation like on US 191 N of Moab:  strong cross wind
and a semi passes in the other direction.  There is a
big air shock--my ears feel it.  That would put the
fridge flame out.  Otherwise, it stayed on.

I don't know how yours is different from mine, but you
can have a Dometic that stays light on the highway 99%
of the time.  In those years, I pulled my fridge several
times to clean the flame box, the orifice, etc.  No parts
were missing from the vent setup, etc.
