FWIW, I had a cap that passed the suck/blow test but when I parked nose up on a steep hill and filled the system from the front (small hose into the bottom of a plastic jug) there was still a trickle that went to the overflow tank. After the system was bled and I backed off the hill, the cooling system performed normally.

As to the radiator "Bolt" ... you can cut a slot in the lower threads using a Dremel or some such. That way it'll work like the OEM brass bolt with the slot.
